Details Itinerary Photos Tour Overview Tamang Heritage Trail Trek situated in Langtang Region is newly opened trekking destination of Nepal which is developed by Tourism for Rural Poverty Alleviation Program (RPAP). Tamang Heritage Trail is the Off the Beaten trail which features ancient lifestyle that combines picturesque scenery and healing baths in natural hot spring. As the trail lies near Tibetan border so most of the people here are Tibetans coming from Kering in Tibet across the border for settlement in Nepal. Before the real Tibetans were not provided Nepal’s citizenship so they changed their ethnicity to Tamang but the culture and traditions they follow are similar to the Tibetan culture. Tamang Heritage Trail begins from Syabrubesi and passes through Tatopani, Gatlang, Thuman, and Briddim. As we follow Langtang valley trek from Briddim village through Kyanjin, we come across hills and terraced fields in Tamang settlement. When we reach Gatlang, we can experience many Tamang Buddhist Monasteries and view the beauty od Parvatikunda lake named after Goddess Parvati. Healing bath with associated spa within the water of natural hot spring at Tatopani en route to Thuman is an exciting expertise. Thuman is famous for its Shamanic performances and here we can view beautiful Langtang peak through each and every house while Briddim provides cultural practice at a community run homestay.
