Its a great news and pride for every Nepalese and culture lovers around the globe that Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal is in the 2019 nominees for UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites. Kathmandu as the capital and administrative region of Nepal hosts the seven out of 10 world heritage sites of Nepal is rich in her cultural and historical architecture and monuments.

According to the CNN this week the UNESCO selection committee responsible for the list begins 11 days of deliberations in Baku, Azerbaijan, to decide which destinations should be added to a portfolio that already names 1,092 sites in 167 countries. If Kathmandu get more grade, Kathmandu will earn valuable tourism currency as well as the nominal protection conveyed by the UNESCO.

According to CNN the selection for 2019 follow a lengthy evaluation during which field experts are sent to Kathmandu to check out the Kathmandu and access what is being done to preserve this Historical Valley.
